In the Fifties the Payne Family moved 300 ancient and wise apple trees from East Burwood to Bacchus Marsh.

This was a task with manual hand tools and a classic Bedford truck.

Mum and Dad ran the orchard grooming Graeme to nurture and inspire the land.

Now Graeme and Jenny are cultivating a range of mouth-watering boutique summer fruits to complement the stable of classic apples.

Paynes Orchards is a fusion of old world values and new varieties of juicy fresh produce. In response to constant requests, we can now offer "Pick Your Own" tours of the orchards. This is now a most popular tourist destination on the goldfields route and touring the spa country.

This is one of the very few genuine small family orchards left in Australia and when you visit and taste your fruit you'll know why Paynes Orchards is renowned for doing things the natural way, the right way!
